My Values
My parents and community raised me according the dictum of "Love Thy Neighbor." From an early age, I was instilled to put others' needs before those of my own. I have spent much of my life in the service of others, from childhood experiences as a Boy Scout and Altar boy, to my service in the United States Army's 82nd Airborne Division, along with 15 years as a volunteer firefighter/EMS volunteer while simultaneously teaching English in public schools.
These values bleed over into my professional life, where I seek to uplift and support both paying clients and coworkers.
I feel it is my calling to make life easier on others, whether that be as an ally to my LGBTQIA+ friends and colleagues, a sympathetic citizen to those in my community less fortunate than I, or helping my neighbors any chance I get.
My Core Values:
Be Kind
Be Curious
Be Respectful
Be Accountable
Act in the Best Interests of Others
My service in the 82nd Airborne Division also taught me a valuable dictum: "Charlie Mike"- Phonetic alphabet abbreviation for "Complete the Mission."
No matter the obstacles, I value adapting and innovating to overcome them and achieve the objective.
